Music careerIU debuted on September 24, 2008 with her first mini-album, Lost and Found, in which the most famous song was the title track, "Missing Child".[2] However, the album was not commercially successful. It wasn't until her follow-up album that she succeeded in breaking into the mainstream. On April 16, 2009, IU launched her first full album, titled Growing Up, with the lead promotional number, "Boo". Within three weeks, "Boo" went up to the #1 contenders for SBS Inkigayo, and her name also went up twice on Take 7 together with other notable artists like SG Wannabe and Younha. The song also did well on KBS Music Bank K-Chart, on Mnet M!Countdown chart, and on various online music charts.[citation needed]

In 2009, IU sang the ending title song, "Araro" for the acclaimed MBC drama, Queen Seon Duk, where she was recommended by the music director of the drama, citing her "clear tone and her lyrical sensibility."[3] She was also featured on Mighty Mouth's album Love Class in the song "희망사항." In late 2009, IU recorded MC Mong's song "Love Letter For You (Neoyege Sseuneun Pyeonji)," featuring SHINee's Key as a rapper in the song.

IU recorded the song "잔소리" (Nagging / Scolded) with 2AM's Seulong for the TV show We Got Married. On June 27, 2010, IU won her first award since her debut on SBS Inkigayo for "Nagging." On July 2, 2010, she won another award for that song on KBS Music Bank K-Chart. Soon after, IU was chosen to sing the main OST song for the MBC drama Road No.1 titled "여자라서" (Because I'm A Woman). IU's other collaborations include duets with Yoo Seung Ho ("사랑을 믿어요" (Believe in Love)), Sung Shi Kyung ("그대네요" (It’s You)), and Big Bang's Seungri ("I Know").[citation needed]

IU worked with some of South Korea's most famous musicians and producers for her third mini-album, “REAL,“ released in December 2010.[4] Lee Min Soo and Kim Lee Na, the creators of IU's previous hit, ‘Nagging‘, helped produce her award-winning song "좋은 날" (‘A Good Day‘), together with Shin Sa Dong Tiger and lyricist Choi Gab Won.[citation needed] IU received three SBS Inkigayo Mutizen awards for her performances of the song (on December 18 and December 26, 2010, and January 2, 2011), three awards from KBS Music Bank K-Chart (on December 24 and December 31, 2010, and January 7, 2011), and one award from Mnet M!Countdown on December 23, 2010.[citation needed]

IU often covers other pop artists' songs with her guitar and features her friend Thunder from MBLAQ, most notably renditions of SHINee "Juliette", Big Bang "Lies", Super Junior "Sorry, Sorry" and Girls' Generation "Gee".[citation needed]

[edit] Solo activitiesIn August 2009, IU became a host for the new program Gom Music Chart on GomTV, a weekly show, where South Korean netizens vote for their favorite songs on the charts.[citation needed] For a time, IU became a fixed guest on Super Junior's Kiss the Radio, Maybee's Raise the Volume, and MBC's Starry Night (hosted by Park Kyung-lim and Shin Young) and Chin Chin Radio (hosted by Taeyeon). Upon Taeyeon's departure, she was chosen as a temporary DJ for two weeks together with B2ST member Doojoon.[citation needed] IU is currently the VJ for MBC Game’s Star for You, as well as for GomTV’s Starcraft 2 Global StarLeague, on which she introduces competing players.[5] IU is also one of twelve original female cast members chosen for the SBS variety show Heroes.[6]

IU has secured a number of endorsement deals,[7] including the 2011 UNIONBAY clothing line (with Seo In-Kook),[8] MyChew candy, and the action-riding game "The Story of My Horse and I, Alicia." In 2011, IU became the next pop star spokesmodel for Mexicana Chicken.[9] Samsung selected IU to represent their Anycall brand, previously endorsed by such stars as Lee Hyori, BoA, and Junki, stating "we believe that [IU] has the potential to create a big bang within the industry."[10]

Most recently, viewers have been captivated by IU’s acting abilities[citation needed] as ‘Kim Pil Sook’ in the KBS 2TV very successful teen drama series Dream High.[11]

On February 6, 2011, it was announced that IU would be a guest performer for British contemporary jazz & soul singer, Corinne Bailey Rae, during her 1st Korean concert.[12] She has also recently been featured in K-Will's music video for his song "My Heart is Beating" along with MBLAQ’s Lee Joon.

Jang Wooyoung, known mononymously as Wooyoung (Hangul: 우영), was born on April 30, 1989. He is a singer in 2PM, a 6-member boy band that is active in South Korea and managed by JYP Entertainment.

Early lifeWooyoung was born in Busan and has an older sister. He attended Seoul School for the Arts with a dance major.

Members Fei and Jia were selected in 2007 (Fei was scouted on her way to dance school, while Jia's school held auditions). Min auditioned when she was in the 6th grade, and traveled to the U.S for 6 years for training but came back in 2008 to continue activities in Korea. During her time in New York, she studied at the Repertory Company High School in Manhattan. She is known to be a trainee who has been training for a long time along with Wonder Girls' Sunye (Sun) and 2AM's Jo Kwon. Members Fei and Jia appeared in 2PM's "My Color" music video. Suzy Bae was also a model.

2010: Debut "Bad Girl Good Girl" and "Step Up"Miss A made their official debut in early July 2010. Originally, Miss A was announced as a trio consisting of Fei, Jia and Suzy in June 2010. Prior to this, they were widely known to fans unofficially as JYP Sisters. They were a 5-member group in training in 2009, but had gone through several changes, most notably the exit of Hye Lim who joined the Wonder Girls, while two other girls had left. Min had then joined after this, and a name change was issued.

On June 22, 2010, Miss A was officially announced as a quartet, with Min joining the group. Aku anak tunggal tapi nakal di rumah. Aku masih bergantung dengan ibuku meski saat aku terkejut.
Pertama saya bekerja paruh waktu di sebuah restoran Fastfood ketika saya masih di SMA. Tapi saya dipecat dalam tiga hari pertama bekerja karena saya tidak bisa di pada waktu pulang sekolah. Tapi Aku masih dibayar selama tiga hari walaupun begitu aku aku bahagia ketika aku melihat uang ditransfer ke account saya. Saya mendengar orang-orang bilang gaji pertama seharusnya membeli sepasang kaus kaki untuk orang tua Anda ketika Anda dibayar untuk pertama kalinya jadi itulah yang saya lakukan … Namun,,,Ibuku tidak pernah memakainya. Saya pikir saya harus membeli kaus kaki dengan renda di atasnya sebagai gantinya.
Saya pernah belajar bagaimana mendaki gunung. Itu ketika aku masih di SMA dan aku terbiasa memanjat batu-batu besar dan bahkan ikut ambil bagian dalam kompetisi. Aku tidak menang karena aku jatuh selama sesi kedua …… Tapi aku juga belajar bagaimana menyelam. Aku belajar pelajaran olahraga yang biasanya tidak mudah untuk dipelajari.
Scene terkeren saya dalam drama “Will It Snow on Christmas?” adalah ketika karakter saya berkata kepada Yoon-joo, “Saya tidak tertarik (pada Anda), tapi aku tetap memerhatikan Anda”. Direktur dan direktur pencahayaan menertawakan saya ketika saya melakukan adegan itu, aktor kawakan memanggilku Shin Sung-il, tapi rasanya keren.
Ketika kita syuting adegan di mana karakter Kang-jin berjalan bertelanjang kaki, direktur meletakkan kerikil di dengan tanah sengaja. Dia ingin aku untuk melangkah kesakitan. Aku tahu dia bermaksud untuk mengambil saat wajahku muram secara alami dari rasa sakit, tetapi manajer saya begitu gugup sehingga aku mungkin akan terluka.
Saya berharap saya bisa melakukannya lebih baik dalam adegan di mana Kang-jin mendongak ke bulan setelah menggosok kakinya. Kamera mendapat scene yang tepat dari belakang tapi aku melihat punggungku membungkuk di jalan seperti yang biasanya dilakukan ketika aku sedang duduk. Aku melihat adegan itu di rumah dan berpikir pada diri sendiri, “Tidak! Mengapa!”

Oh,ya!! Aku sangat takut saat pergi untuk syuting drama “Father’s House”. Aku tidak tahu apakah aku bahkan bisa bernapas dan harus syuting diantara aktor-aktor veteran Park Won-sook, Baek Il-seob dan Choi Min-soo. Tapi mereka sangat baik dan Mr Baek khususnya, membantu saya menjelaskan situasi karakter saya sebagai Jae-il dan menunjukkan padaku bagaimana harus berakting. Aku benar-benar belajar banyak.
Aktor Choi Min-soo tahu aku akan menjadi kaku dan gugup sehingga ia memberi masukkan banyak agar saya santai. Ia akan datang dan berbicara kepada saya, menanyakan apakah saya ingin belajar anggar, dan ketika saya berbicara dengan sutradara, dia akan datang dan menyodok aku dari belakang. Dia benar-benar berfokus ketika dia berakting. Sejak awal ia telah menyatakan, “Aku tidak akan menampilkan akting sebagai seorang aktor, tapi aku akan menjadi orang itu”.

Ketika aku sedang di rumah, saya memikirkan banyak hal dan menulisnya.Dan saya juga menonton film. Aku suka aktor Jo Seung-woo, Ha Jeong-woo dan Ryoo Seung-beom khususnya – mereka memiliki banyak hal sebagai aktor.

Aku suka hip-hop dan ini menyenangkan, dan saya suka lagu-lagu balada juga. Aku beralih di antara genre ketika saya bernyanyi juga. Haha.
Aku biasanya cukup moody saat aku bahagia atau sedih, aku suka untuk mengekspresikan emosi dan menyembunyikan emosi. Itu sebabnya ketika aku bahagia, aku akan memberikan uang kepada seorang pengemis di jalan,uang yang saya miliki dalam saku tetapi ketika aku sedih, merasa seperti aku hampir mau mati. Aku benar-benar menyukainya rasa itu,rasa ketika aku menangis sehingga ketika membaca skrip ‘air mata jatuh’. Aku dapat membak dan mengeluarkan emosi.
Saya ingin memfoto juga. Saya belajar banyak hal dari aktor Lee Byung-jin ketika pengambilan gambar sitkom “Kimchi, Cheese, Smile”. Dia memiliki kamera besar dan aku memandanginya sepanjang waktu. aku punya kamera bekas Nikon D800.

Dan apa yang saya lakukan terakhir Natal? Hmm … Itu … Yah … Aku pergi ke sebuah bar karaoke bersama teman-teman. (tertawa)"
